Language certificates

Language of instruction German

• Bachelor
  
  When applying for a Bachelor degree program with German language of instruction, you do not need to submit a German language certificate provided you already hold a university entrance qualification (Hochschulreife) under the German education system.
  
  Otherwise, the following language certificates are recognised.
  
  B1 CEFR German for language related conditional admission
  C1 CEFR German for direct admission.

• Master
  
  When applying for a Master program with German language of instruction, you are not required to submit a German language certificate provided that you already hold a higher education qualification awarded under the German education system with German language of instruction.
  
  Otherwise, the following language certificates are recognised.
  
  B2 CEFR German for language based conditional admission
  C1 CEFR German for direct admission.

Language of instruction English

• Bachelor
  
  At present, TUIL does not offer any Bachelor degree programs with language of instruction English.

• Master
  
  No language certificate is required if the language of instruction for the desired degree program is English, which is also official language and language of education in the applicant’s home country. In this case, confirmation of the language of instruction from the educational institution (secondary school or university) is sufficient.
  
  English as the official language and the language of education
  
  Otherwise, the following language certificates are recognised.
  
  B2 CEFR English for language based conditional admission
  C1 CEFR English for direct admission
