When transitioning from Bachelor to Master, students at TU Ilmenau have the option of provisional enrolment in a Master degree program if they have passed all examinations in their Bachelor degree program and only the Bachelor thesis is still outstanding.
This option is only available for TUIL students.
Until the end of the semester of provisional enrolment in the Master degree program, you will be studying twice in two degree programs.
General information
Deadlines and contact
Please note the semester-related deadline for provisional Master enrolment for the university-internal transition from Bachelor to Master. After the deadline, provisional Master enrolment is no longer possible.
The completion of provisional enrolment in a Master degree program requires a valid admission to the target degree program.
1. Admission letter
Due to the course-related admission requirements for programs leading to the academic degree Master, an application in the university's Campus Portal is required.
As a result of the application you have already submitted for the master degree program you are interested in, you have been admitted.
The Registration Office has verified your eligibility to enrol in this program and has approved your online registration.
Start the online registration procedure in the Campus Portal and please fill in the sections with the required information.
When prompted to choose between a change of study program or provisional enrolment, select provisional enrolment.
Step 3 : Confirmation of Enrolment
Once you have successfully enroled in the Master degree program, the name of the Master degree program will appear in the Student Services.
Please log in to the Campus Portal using your Uni-Account in the role of student. After clicking on the Student Services tile, your previous Bachelor degree program and the Master degree program - along with the corresponding version of the examination regulations - will be displayed under My Degree Programs.
