The determination of the equivalence of educational certificates acquired outside the area of application of the Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany and which are a prerequisite for admission to studies in a degree program at the TU Ilmenau is carried out by the Admission Office of the University as part of the application process for a fee per application.

Ad a request

Select a program of study from the course offerings and complete the electronic application form in its entirety.

By submitting the electronic application request in the applicant portal, you are applying for admission to a study program in a specific degree program with its academic degree and a specific semester of enrolment.

Submit request

Only complete application requests will take part in the application process.

The submitted application will therefore be checked by the Admission Office immediately after receipt for completeness and evaluability of the documents uploaded by you.

If anything is not correct, the application request will be provisionally excluded.

In this case, withdraw your application and process the application according to the status comments in the applicant portal.

After correction, please submit the application request again within the application period.

After an individual examination of the meeting of the admission requirements for the desired degree program, in the case of Master programs including the results of the Master aptitude test, the Admissions Office will issue you with a

• Admission letter
• Rejection letter

for your disposal.

A direct admission enables enrolment as a student in a degree program (Bachelor / Master).

You have the option of meeting the condition of admission in the pre-degree program.

A language-related conditional admission enables first-year students from abroad enrolment as a collegiate in the pre-degree program (Academic Preparation Course).

A language-related conditional admission allows enrolment as a student in a degree program (Bachelor / Master) after you have sent your language certificate language level C1 CEFR by mail to the Registration Office.

You have the ability to meet the condition of the admission by passing the Feststellungsprüfung at a Studienkolleg in Germany.

A subject-related conditional admission allows enrolment as a student in a degree program (Bachelor / Master) after you have sent your certificate of Studienkolleg by mail to the Registration Office.
