In Sub - Project 2: News Media, principal investigator Andreas Schwarz and his team analyze how legacy media in the selected countries frame both the pandemic and risk messages of governments and health institutions in terms of sources, severity, causal attributions, moral evaluations and institutional performance. The quantitative content analysis includes widely circulated online news media with different political leanings and reporting styles.
