Teaching

Teaching is designed for business degree courses and covers the entire field of corporate finance and financial markets. For all Bachelor's degree programs, this includes an introductory course in corporate finance, including capital budgeting, as well as an introduction to financial markets for those with a more pronounced focus on economics. In the Master's programs, specializations in Corporate Finance, Decentralized Finance, and, in the future, Sustainable Finance are offered. More about teaching

Research

The Finance department concentrates on empirical research in the field of corporate finance, with a focus on financial markets and environmental, social and governance (ESG). In terms of methodology, the focus is on both traditional econometric methods and state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) methods, in particular natural language processing (NLP). The analyses are based on data from established economic databases as well as unstructured data such as text, audio and video. More about the research
