At the Journalism Studies conference organised by the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) at the University of Groningen, Aynur Sarısakaloğlu presented key findings from her new study on the adoption of AI technologies in journalism. The study focused on how journalists perceive AI technologies and integrate them into their professional practice.
The results show that the use of AI not only opens up new possibilities for journalistic practice, but also raises fundamental questions regarding professional routines, conditions for acceptance and structural frameworks. Among other things, the focus is on new demands on skills and the negotiation of responsibility in the interaction between humans and machines.
