Electrical engineering and information technology prize awarded for outstanding theses

The prize for outstanding theses was awarded by the Förderverein Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik e. V. Ilmenau was presented for the third time.

For the third time now, the chairman of the Förderverein Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik e. V. Ilmenau, Prof Seitz, in conjunction with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the TU Ilmenau, presented the sponsorship award for outstanding theses. The prize, endowed with €250, recognises the students' achievements and presents innovative topics. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, no prizes could be awarded in the years 2020 to 2022, which is why six people who have completed their studies could be honoured this year. The award winners were honoured at the graduation ceremony in November 2023. They are:

  • Mr Kai-Lutz Gerstner, graduate of the Master's degree programme in Electrochemistry and Electroplating Technology
  • Ms Amelie Johanna Hintermaier, graduate of the Electrical Engineering and Information Technology degree programme
  • Mr Markus Ismer, graduate of the Master's degree programme in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
  • Mr Manuel Peter Kusebauch, graduate of the Master's degree programme in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
  • Ms Helene Nahrstedt, graduate of the Master's degree programme in Materials Science and
  • Mr Michael Reibe, graduate of the Micro- and Nanotechnologies Master's degree programme
