EMS Research Exchange Program Brazil

The EMS Research Exchange Program is composed of activities conducted by researchers of the Electronic Measurements and Signal Processing Research Group (EMS), a joint research activity between Technische Universität Ilmenau and the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS. The program is coordinated by Prof. Giovanni Del Galdo who is the head of the group.

Within the program students from Brazil are invited to come to TU Ilmenau for a six-month internship.

During the exchange, each student will get the chance to be individually supervised by a researcher of the university. Based on the students’ expertise, a technical research topic can be assigned to the student. The topic is also based on the needs of on-going projects at EMS.

The activities performed by the student during the exchange program will result in a presentation given by the student. The supervisor will then evaluate the performance with a final grade.  A certificate will be provided at the end of the exchange program.

Besides the research activities there are many other options for complementing the students’ visit. The university offers German courses as well as lectures in various fields that the students can join according to their interests.
