Lux junior

Information

Lux junior 2026 will take place from June 26 to 28, 2026.

At the 18th Forum for Young Lighting Engineers, all questions relating to lighting technology and related fields can be addressed in lectures and poster presentations. We invite you to submit your contributions.

The event will once again take place at the Dörnfeld/Ilm Training Center near Ilmenau (address below). In addition to conference rooms, the training center also offers affordable accommodation and excellent catering services.

Participation fee:
- students: 60€
- participants up to 35 years: 150€
- participants over 35 years: 230€

All meals and drinks are included in the fee.

Presentation registration

Please submit your presentation registration by March 31, 2026, to the address below.

To register your presentation, please send a short summary (1 A4 page) of the presentation or poster presentation in German and English. The summary should provide information about the topic of the presentation. All submitted presentations will be included in the program. There will be no selection of presentations. The presentation language can be German or English, but the presentation slides should be in English.

The speaking time is 15 minutes. Five minutes are allocated for discussions.

The submitted abstract will be printed as conference proceedings (bilingual in German and English). The full versions will be published after the conference in the Digital Library of Thuringia (with DOI) (also bilingual if desired). The full versions must be submitted in electronic form (pdf or docx) by May 31, 2026.

Ideas for further content, such as workshop offerings, are welcome.

For the first time, the LiTG doctoral candidate network will also be present at Lux junior.

Overnight stay

Accommodation (45€ including breakfast) is available at the training center. Accommodation is in 2-, 3-, and 4-bed rooms.

Unfortunately, we are unable to make reservations for rooms in hotels and guesthouses. We kindly ask you to do this yourself if necessary. An overview can be found on the website of the city of Ilmenau.
