Prerequisites

Students interested in the course "Fundamentals of Analog Circuit Technology" need prior knowledge in the fields of mathematics, physics and electrical engineering.

To participate in the continuing education course "Fundamentals of Analog Circuit Technology", a computer and Internet access are required to use the online course.

The continuing education is being tested as part of the "BASICplus" project and is therefore offered free of charge.

Contents

The continuing education course on the fundamentals of analog circuit technology deals with six main topics:

  1. Network analysis with controlled sources (super node, super mesh analysis)
  2. Linear algebra, differential equations - complex alternating current calculation
  3. frequency responses, poles and zeros, Bode diagrams
  4. basic operational amplifier circuits including filters
  5. Basic transistor circuits
  6. Integrated circuit technology up to industrial circuits

Course

The contents of the six main topics are bundled in an online course. Participants will then work independently on 15 learning units. The period for working on the learning units runs from October 14, 2019 to March 13, 2020.

The learning units consist of video recordings of lectures and seminars, as well as a set of slides and exercises. The content will be released gradually and will then be available until the end of the completion period.

Two consultations and two mock exams can be used to test knowledge. The mock exams can be worked on independently by the participants and questions and problems can be discussed in the consultations. In addition, questions can also be put to the specialist supervisor via the online course. The continuing education program concludes with an examination at the TU Ilmenau.
