Multi-functional devices

In the main building of the University Library you find several multi-functional devices for scanning. These devices are in the room 2130 (intermedidate storey) and 3140 (ground floor). For scanning you need the thoska card of the TU Ilmenau, which must be charged with cash of at least 0.50 euro.After you have scanned your documents on the devices, you can download the files from the website https://qpilot.tu-ilmenau.de/#/login. Log in to the website with your university login. Outside the university network, you can access the website if you use the internet via VPN. At all multifunction devices you can also scan directly onto a USB stick or SD card. To do this, you need a charged thoska.

Book scanners

In the main building of the University Library there are two book scanners which are in room 2130 (intermedidate storey). You need neither your thoska card nor any other card for the book scanners, as their use if free of charge. You can save and store your documents directly in the formats PDF, TIFF or JPEG on the USB stick. 

There are several multi-functional devices for printing in the rooms in the rooms 2130 (intermedidate storey) and 3140 (ground floor) in the University Library.

Printing from the user’s computer

You need a thoska card of the TU Ilmenau charged with cash of at least 0.50 euro.

The print job can be sent from any user computer in the library. To do this, log in to the user computer with your UniRZ login. Then you can select the printers "qpilot-farbe" and "qpilot-sw" for printing.

Please use only original programs when printing documents from the user’s computer in the Library and NO plug-ins in the browser.

You can view and print your documents at any multi-functional device in the university. 

You can manage your print jobs via the web interface https://qpilot.tu-ilmenau.de/#/login. To do this, you must log in with your university login.

Printing from a mobile device

Log on to https://qpilot.tu-ilmenau.de/#/login. Select "mobilePrint".

Now follow the on-screen instructions and upload the desired file.

The following file types are supported in "Mobile Print:

BMP, JPEG, JPG, PDF, PNG, TIFF & TXT

You can retrieve your print job and print the file at any multi-functional device in the university.

Printing from storage device (USB stick or SD card)

You need a thoska card of the TU Ilmenau charged with cash of at least 0.50 euro.

Printing from the storage device is possible on any multifunction device. Please note that only PDF and JPG files can be printed.

In the University Library there are several multi-functional devices at your disposal, and they are in  rooms 1080, 2130 and 3140.

The multi-functional devices offer both black&white and color copies. For using these devices you need a thoska card charged with cash of at least 0.50 euro.
