From From May 16 to June 3, 2022, a variety of cross-university events on the topics of diversity and anti-discrimination at universities will take place as part of the Diversity Days 2022 at Thuringian universities, both online and in person at the various university locations.
The events will highlight difficult and denied access to higher education and science, present support and counseling services, and provide spaces for discussion on how Thuringia's universities can be designed as shared places for learning, researching, and working.
The Diversity Days 2022 will be opened as part of the online event "Vielfältige Lebenswege - Gleiche Chancen!?" on Monday, May 16, 2022, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (registration required) with greetings from the Chairman of the State Presidents' Conference of Thuringia, Prof. Dr. Kai-Uwe Sattler, and the Diversity Officer at Ernst Abbe University Jena, Prof.in Dr.in Anna Kasten. This will be followed by an introductory lecture on "Diverse Inequalities: On the Current Situation at Universities and Possibilities for Intervention" by Nathalie Schlenzka, Head of the Department for Research and Policy at the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency. There will be online written interpretation for the event.
