15:00 to 16:30 BC Café: "Coffee2Meet Extended" with discussion round on the topic "A Fair Trade = A Fair World"? (in English)
Coffee is one of the most consumed products we eat every day. And it is one of the most important export goods in the world. As a former "colonial product," millions of farmers in the Global South plant, grow and harvest the coffee we drink. Join us for our cozy roundtable discussion at the bc-Café and talk "Fair Trade" over coffee and cookies.
5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sr HU 211/212: Panel discussion on "TU Ilmenau in transition: science for a sustainable future", moderated by Netzwerk-n Germany (in German).
The panel discussion as part of our theme year "Sustainability" is intended to serve the dialogue of all university members and to bring us closer to a "Sustainable Community" in a goal-oriented way. The main topics of discussion will be the Green Office at the TU Ilmenau and sustainability in teaching. In addition to the invited panelists, there will be free chairs, so that we all have the excellent opportunity to contribute our ideas and thoughts, to develop them together and to concretize them. The scheduled panelists are Vice President Prof. Anja Geigenmüller, Prof. Rainer Souren, Prof. Jens Wolling and PhD student Jasmin Calmbach. We are pleased that two moderators of the initiative perspektive n will give impulses, guide us through the discussion and stimulate it with interactive elements. The discussion will last about 2 hours. Afterwards, there will be further opportunities for discussion over drinks and snacks in the Humboldt Foyer.

3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Online workshop on the topic of "Climate-neutral nutrition" by TU Ilmenau's health management in cooperation with move UP GmbH (more information on the workshop). The lecture will be held in English.
Nowadays, all kinds of food are available to us all year round. This is pure luxury that we take for granted. In the workshop, we follow the path of a food product from its cultivation in faraway countries to its processing at home. In the process, you will learn about the resources used and the impact food can have on our climate. There will also be practical tips on how you can integrate more environmentally friendly food into your everyday life and thus reduce your ecological footprint.
