Lecture at the TU Ilmenau: ARD editor-in-chief on reporting in the Ukraine war

The editor-in-chief of ARD, Oliver Köhr, will give a lecture on July 6 at the Technischen Universität Ilmenau on the topic of "War in Europe: A turning point in reporting?". Afterwards, the leading German journalist will be available to answer questions from the audience. In addition to students and members of the university, the event is also open to the interested public. Admission is free, and registration is not required.

According to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Russia's invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 marks a turning point in history. The attack, which violates international law, will lead to profound political and social changes. The war in Europe also presents journalism with new tasks. On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, Oliver Köhr, editor-in-chief of ARD, will explain the special challenges facing reporting at 11 a.m. as part of the lecture "Communicator Research" of the TU Ilmenau bachelor's degree program"Applied Media and Communication Studies" and then take questions from the audience.
