Presenting research in an accessible way: ISGE launches a new series of seminars

In the summer semester 2026, ISGE launches a new seminar series dedicated to the clear and audience-oriented communication of scientific content. The series begins on April 20, 2026, with further sessions taking place every two weeks. The event is open to the public within the university. All interested participants are warmly invited!

Mondays, 1:00 PM (biweekly starting April 20, 2026)
ZMN Feynman Building, Room 115

The central question of the series is: How can complex topics be presented clearly, in a structured way, and in a manner that is understandable for a broad audience?

Each session features two participants giving short presentations (approx. 15 minutes) on methods, concepts, or their research field—ideally connected to their ISGE projects.

The seminar series places special emphasis on:

  • audience-oriented preparation of content
  • clear structure and accessible language
  • conscious selection of depth and level of detail

Following the presentations, moderated discussion rounds provide space for feedback from the audience. In addition, participants answer short comprehension questions via an online tool—serving as a basis for feedback and for building a shared knowledge base within ISGE.

A total of 14 presentation slots are planned for the summer semester.
