Description
Physics is a fundamental natural science. All systems of nature are subject to its laws. The aim of physics is to derive theories in close interaction with experimental methods and theoretical modelling which explain the processes in nature as accurately as possible and allow precise predictions to be made.
With the bachelor's and the subsequent master's degree course in Technical Physics, TU Ilmenau offers a modern variant of physics studies that qualifies students in a special way for activities in research and development related areas and places greater emphasis on the aspect of basic science for engineering and technical issues. In this way, students are taught basic knowledge of physics together with the thinking and working methods of physicists and engineers. They receive a sound basic education in physics and future-oriented technical and scientific disciplines.
The basic physical education and the structuring of the course contents into modules ensure that students can easily switch between the Technical Physics course at Ilmenau University of Technology and the physics courses at other universities in Germany and abroad, both during their studies and between the bachelor and master phases.
Through Ilmenau with Janine and Marcel
