Development of an workflow-management approach for clinical processes

The project deals with the transfer, adaptation and development of concepts for model-based software generation for use in the field of modeling processes and IT-supported workflows in healthcare.With the help of modeling tools and graphic notations, workflows in the hospital environment can be mapped in a future-proof manner.Building on this, target system-specialized variations of the process flows will be transferred to the corresponding workflow management systems of the hospital IT via standard interfaces.However, this step is very time-consuming and costly and also leads to incompatibilities.Therefore, fundamental approaches of a preferably automated and generic transformation of visual process models into the workflow management systems provided by the hospital IT are to be researched.
