Procedure Model "Process-based Knowledge Engineering"

For acquiring medical knowledge a new method has been developed, which allows an almost complete collection of domain-specific knowledge of an (unknown) problem domain. The steps of acquisition, modeling and implementing of knowledge are based on a scenario-oriented concept. A scenario specifies solving a problem by a medical expert using certain resources. Through the specific application of various knowledge acquisition techniques, the intertwining scenarios are identified. The emerging net of scenarios allows on one hand a problem domain overview; on the other hand they serve as starting point for a deepening of knowledge.
