eTeach project Situated Learning in Social VR in Teacher Training launched

A new research project entitled "Situated learning in Social VR in teacher training" has been launched! It is already the third research project at the department that is funded by the eTeach network Thuringia.

As part of the project, we are working in close cooperation with the University of Erfurt to develop interactive applications for our social virtual reality platform in order to enrich academic teacher training.

Our aim is to create teaching simulations that are as authentic as possible, in which student teachers can interact with virtual pupils in the form of 3D bots in a protected virtual environment.

We will practically test and further develop these applications as a situated learning component and evaluate them as innovative tools for training as prospective teachers.
