The Equal Opportunities Council is an elected representation of interests and supports the Equal Opportunities Officer of the University in the performance of her duties. The Equal Opportunities Council is committed to equal opportunities at the university. With its promotional measures, the Equal Opportunities Council provides targeted support for women and creates visibility for relevant topics of equal opportunities work with various campaigns.

The term of office of the elected members of the Equal Opportunities Council is three years. The Equal Opportunities Council consists of 13 members who come from the departments, the service and administration units and the student body. The Equal Opportunities Officer is the chairperson of the committee.
