The project "BASIC- Basic Engineering School - New forms of teaching and learning in engineering education - especially in the introductory phase of studies" was funded by the BMBF from the "Program for better study conditions and more quality in teaching - Quality Pact for Teaching".
The objective of the BASIC project was to develop, test and implement measures to support the transition from school to university for engineering students.
The Basic Engineering School concept was based on a preliminary project "Increasing the attractiveness of engineering education by implementing innovative forms of teaching and learning" funded by the Higher Education Initiative New Federal States.
On Tuesday, March 16, 2021, the online conference "10 Years BASIC - Review and Perspectives" took place at TU Ilmenau. 68 participants took the opportunity to talk to project participants and former BASIC students about special results from ten years of project work within the innovative teaching model "Basic Engineering School". more
