On 14.9.2020, 28 students of the bachelor programs Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering and Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering as well as Diploma Electrical Engineering and Information Technologystart their studies at the TU Ilmenau in the seminar groups of the BASIC model group 2020/21.
The students of the BASIC model group 2020/21 presented the results of their project work on 7.10.2021 in the Leonardo da Vinci lecture hall and changed from the 3rd semester to the seminar groups of their courses. The projects were worked on in groups of up to 5 students from different study programs.
The students of the BASIC model group 2019/20 presented the results of their project work on 29.9.2020 in the Faraday lecture hall and changed from the 3rd semester to the seminar groups of their study courses. The projects were worked on in groups of 5 students from different study programs.
On 14.9.2020, 28 students from the bachelor's degree programs in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering and mechatronics, electrical engineering and information technology, biomedical engineering and diploma in electrical engineering and information technology will start their studies at the TU Ilmenau in 2 seminar groups of the BASIC model group 2020/21.
The students of the BASIC model group 2018/19 presented the results of their project work on 1.10.2019 in the LdV lecture hall and changed from the 3rd semester to the seminar groups of their study courses.
The processing of the projects took place -with adapted tasks for the first time in groups of 5 students from different study courses. By using cameras, the presentations of the exhibits could be projected in the lecture hall in such a way that all participants could follow the details of the presentations very well.

PracticING projects are worked on by student working groups. Some BASIC students (and also other students) work directly in student project groups after their BASIC study year. Something very special was the development of KICKI and the KICKI workshops that were held.

The students of the BASIC model group 2017/18 presented the results of their project work on 2.10.2018 in the EAZ and changed to the seminar groups of their study courses from the 3rd semester. The projects were worked on in groups of 3 students from different study courses.
For the first time, there were several project topics to choose from: Development of models on the topics of electromobility/AMT, wind turbine with energy source orientation, solar cell holder with energy source orientation. Our student assistants were deeply involved in the preparation and prototyping for the new exhibits.
On 1.9.2018, 45 students of the bachelor courses Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering and Mechatronics, Optronics/Optical Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering and Diploma Electrical Engineering and Information Technology start their studies at the TU Ilmenau in 2 seminar groups of the BASIC model group 2018/19.
The students of the BASIC model group 2016/17 presented the results of their project work on 5.10.2017 in the EAZ and changed from the 3rd semester in the seminar groups of their courses. The projects were worked on in groups of 3 students from different courses of study.
The BASIC students were part of our activities in the project. For example, they presented BASIC at the Teaching Day at Clausthal University of Technology and participated in our open-university BASIC workshop on 16.6.2017. The two exhibits "AMT in a suitcase" were created from BASIC students' exhibits and were on the road at a variety of external and internal events.
As every year, interested people could inform themselves about the entry into studies with BASIC and follow current developments in BASIC at the open day in April 2017.

The students of the BASIC model group 2014/15 presented the results of their project work on 1.10.2015 in the EAZ and changed to the seminar groups of their study courses from the 3rd semester. The projects were worked on in groups of 3 students from different courses of study.
On 1.9.2015, 61 students of the bachelor courses Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering and Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and Biomedical Engineering start their studies at the TU Ilmenau in 2 seminar groups of the BASIC model group 2015/16.
The students of the BASIC model group 2013/14 presented the results of their project work on 6.10.2014 in the EAZ and changed to the seminar groups of their study programs from the 3rd semester.
On 1.9.2014, 59 students of the bachelor programs Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering and Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering start their studies at the TU Ilmenau in 2 seminar groups of the BASIC model group 2014/15

On 1.9.2013, 56 students of the bachelor courses Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering and Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology as well as Engineering Informatics start their studies at the TU Ilmenau in 2 seminar groups of the BASIC model group 2013/14.
On 1.9.2011, 28 students from the bachelor's degree programs in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering and mechatronics started their studies at the TU Ilmenau in the BASIC pilot group 2011/12 and were accompanied by the BASIC project team. From the 3rd semester onwards, they switched to the seminar groups of their degree programs.
