Learning objectives
The continuing education program offers a first overview of the practical significance of media law. The starting point here are the basic rights relevant to media law, which should make it possible to assess cases in practice as quickly as possible. In addition to the "basic media rights", the general right of personality plays a major role, since it must always be weighed up against the basic rights of the media.

In doing so, they learn to analyze basic rights relevant to the media such as freedom of opinion and information, media freedom, freedom of occupation and ownership as well as general personal rights, i.e. to examine and weigh these basic rights from a legal perspective (procedural knowledge). Furthermore, the participants learn how to apply the basic rights of individual media (press, broadcasting, multimedia) (conceptual knowledge). This will enable them to roughly estimate the chances of success of legal disputes and to exchange views with lawyers on a professional level.
