Description
The research-oriented program comprises four semesters and follows consecutively on a bachelor's degree program of at least six semesters. It can be studied entirely in German or entirely in English; proof of appropriate knowledge in one of the two languages is sufficient.
In the first three semesters, students choose core modules from media technology as well as modules from related engineering fields that correspond to their interests as well as their planned professional orientation. Furthermore, students complete a media project or a research project. The topics are chosen in such a way that the students are involved in the current research of the Institute of Media Technology. Within the framework of the project work, students also acquire competencies in the areas of teamwork and project management.
Furthermore, students acquire business or social science competencies by choosing a module or courses in the area of "soft skills".
In the fourth semester of the master's program, the master's thesis is written on a special topic in media engineering, continuing the integration of students into the research work of the subject areas and acquiring further technical competencies and soft skills.
During their master's studies, students are taught ecological and ethical awareness as well as intercultural experiences by the teaching staff across all modules.
