The project was funded by the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM).
Project duration: March 2018 - March 2019
In the ZIM cooperation project "Network-based stereoscopic camera array system for audiovisual production of 360° movies for cinema and virtual reality applications" (NestVR360) with the company Stereoscopic Technologies GmbH (stereotec), a multi-camera system with synchronized camera and lens controls for stereoscopic 360° cinema production was considered. For audio recording, a microphone multi-capsule system with a 360° recording range was developed. Multiple cameras and microphone segments were integrated into an internal A/V production network for data transfer and storage (video, audio, and metadata), control, and synchronization.
