A new spatial Fourier domain source localization in EEG

Overview

Within the framework of the project, a new method for EEG source localization is to be developed. In the new approach, the activities of the sources and the system matrix of the forward problem are transferred to the Fourier Spatial Domain (SPHARA domain). The SPatial HARmonic Analysis (SPHARA) approach developed by the applicant is used for this transformation. The aim of the proposed approach is to formulate the EEG forward problem more compactly, to improve the condition of the forward problem and thus to improve the convergence behaviour of the inverse problem, to accelerate source localization with less memory requirements and to suppress the influence of certain types of disturbances.
