TU Ilmenau contributes to Workshop of the Heidelberger Academy of Sciences

Prof. Bach presents paper idea to experts on routine dynamics

Change has been a central topic in research across many disciplines – this is why the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences organized an interdisciplinary workshop on the topic to stimulate interdisciplinary exchange on processes of change, combining different perspectives and discussing new research ideas.

Prof. Hans-Jörg Rheinberger from the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science delivered a keynote speech and reflected his ideas of change in an expert panel with Prof. Britta Nestler (KIT, Institute for Microstructure Modelling and Simulation), Dr. Simone Mayer (Hertie Institute, Molecular Brain Development Group) and Prof. Brian Pentland (Michigan State University, Organization Theory).

The participants used an “idea bazar” to discuss change across disciplinary boundaries and to transfer, synthesize and generate new knowledge about this important concept. As part of this bazar, Prof. Bach presented an idea on

Routine dynamics and management practices – an experiment using different incentive systems

and received valuable feedback and food for thought.
