Generative artificial intelligence (AI) has become a much-discussed topic at least since the public availability of ChatGPT (November 2022). Since innovative technologies are regularly used in the field of human sexuality, the question arises what interfaces there are between text- and image-generating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or Midjourney) and different aspects of sexual behavior and experience. The paper from the Media Psychology and Media Design Group at the Technische Universität Ilmenau addresses three aspects: AI-generated pornography, the use of generative AI in sexual interactions, and AI-based sexual education.
