IEEE Fellows


 
 

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world’s leading professional association for advancing technology for humanity. Through its 400,000 plus members in 160 countries, the association is a leading authority on a wide variety of areas ranging from aerospace systems, computers, signal processing, and telecommunications to biomedical engineering, electric power, and consumer electronics.

The IEEE Grade of Fellow is is the highest level of membership and is recognized by the technical community as a prestigious honor and an important career achievement. It is conferred upon a person with an extraordinary record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest on the basis of nomination by existing Fellows and subsequent approval by the Board of Directors.

Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Haardt was made an IEEE Fellow in 2018 “for contributions to multi-user MIMO communications and tensor-based signal processing.”

Full Professor and Head of the Electronic Measurement Research Laboratory (Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology)

Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Reiner S. Thomä was made an IEEE Fellow in 2007 “for contributions to high-resolution multidimensional channel sounding.”
