We are the Electrochemical Society (ECS) Student Chapter at the Technische Universität Ilmenau, founded in 2020. Our focus is on the research activities of PhD students in the fields of surface technology, energy storage and energy conversion. We are passionate about promoting new insights in electrochemistry, electroplating and related fields, and we welcome anyone interested in research and development.

Our mission is to advance research among young colleagues and postdocs and to create synergies for sustainable research in the interdisciplinary field of electrochemistry. We strive to keep up to date with the latest developments in research and development in order to strengthen the innovative strength of our members.

Our members include doctoral and master's students at the Technische Universität Ilmenau who come from both academia and industry. This diverse mix enables us to promote knowledge transfer and cooperation between theory and practice.
