BASICplus enables you to qualify while working. Modular training courses consisting of classroom and self-study phases give you an insight into specific topics. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate.
The continuing education program in X-ray technology covers three main topics.
1. The first focus is on the fundamentals of X-ray technology. From the generation of X-rays, the filtering of the radiation as well as the detectors used, it is explained how X-rays are absorbed and diffracted.
2. In the second focus, X-ray diffraction on crystals is discussed in more detail. For this purpose, the Braggs-Brentano (BB) and grazing incidence (GID) measurement techniques are presented. In a practical part, quantitative analysis is performed using the Rietveld method.
3. In the third focus, various imaging techniques are presented and application examples are discussed. DIN standards for digital radiography are discussed and an introduction to computed tomography is given. There will also be a practical demonstration on the Nanomex 180 device.
The training courses are free of charge for the participants. The offers are provided and tested within the framework of the research project "BASICplus - Realization of an open study platform for in-service and continuous education and training in engineering subjects".
All information about registration and other interesting further education courses can be found on the website of the Central Institute for Education.
