Teaching

The department offers courses in both the summer and wintersemesters. These courses cover the following main topics:

 

Winter semester

  • EES 1: Fundamentals of electrical network operation (operating equipment, fundamentals of network calculation, fault calculation)

  • EES 4: Network dynamics, extended system analysis, FACTS and HVDC

  • EFI 1: Scientific organization, writing and reviewing papers, hackathon and scientific exploitation

 

Summer semester

  • EES 2: Power flow calculation, stability, grid planning and operation

  • EES 3: Grid control technology, calculation and optimization methods

  • EFI 2: Solving a design challenge with the help of design thinking

 

We are also pleased that students are interested in writing seminar papers in our field.

Final theses

In addition to seminar papers, we are also happy to supervise final theses. These are geared towards current research and practice-relevant issues and teach students the basics of scientific work.
