Research
The aim of our research work is to fabricate sensors consisting of carbon nanotubes, modify them with metallic nanoparticles and apply them for electrochemical biosensing. Various types of new sensors consisting of nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes, boron-doped carbon nanotubes, phosphorus-doped carbon nanotubes, and nitrogen-phosphorus-doped carbon nanotubes have already been fabricated by pyrolysis on silicon/silica wafers and modified with various metallic nanoparticles (such as gold nanoparticles, platinum nanoparticles, etc.). The fabricated carbon nanomaterials can be successfully applied for the electrochemical investigation of biomolecules.
