External applicants with certificates from a foreign educational institution (secondary school or university) should follow the procedure below when applying for a degree program at the Technische Universität Ilmenau (TUIL).
The application process begins on the uni-assist portal and continues on the TUIL Campus Portal.
The final decision regarding admission to a degree program is made by TUIL. The decision - whether to grant admission or to deny it - is explained in the TUIL Campus Portal.
Application procedure
Step 1 : Plan your application
Visit the uni-assist website to learn about application deadlines, eligibility requirements, and the standard application process.
Submit your application electronically to uni-assist.
Step 7 : Forwarding
After your application materials have been reviewed, uni-assist will forward them electronically to TUIL.
Step 8 : Logging in to the Campus Portal
You will receive an email from TUIL with your login credentials for the Campus Portal. Please log in to the Campus Portal using your Applicant-Account in the role of applicant.
After an individual review of whether you meet the admission requirements for your desired degree program - which, for master degree programs, includes the results of the master aptitude test - the Admissions Office will issue you an admission letter or a rejection notice.
