Figure 1: MDK process

In the research project (VIP) applied for, the MoBimeP method is to be validated using a demonstrator in cooperation with the Jena University Hospital. For this purpose, two complex work processes in the hospital (the administrative process of the MDK examination and the process of diagnosis and treatment of a nosocomial infection as early detection of sepsis) are to be modeled, transferred to an IT system and used for simulation and active process support. On this basis, various scenarios are to be discussed and developed with potential users (hospitals, IT manufacturers). In the course of this further development, the technical, medical and economic aspects of the research approach are to be checked for their practicability and usability for use in the German healthcare system.
