Miriam Bernhard, Nigar Zahan and Jonas Weber as well as our external PhD student Jasmin Ebert dealt with current and relevant topics of the research field of media management in various workshops, input sessions and discussion rounds. In addition to small group discussions on their respective dissertation projects, there were also introductions to publication strategies for academic papers and the branding of academics:in certain contexts. In addition, practical skills such as writing introductions to professional publications and presenting research projects were practiced.
The sessions at the Summer School were also partly facilitated and supported by our research project ScreenMe. As part of the EU project, an industry panel was also organized, in which practitioners from the Finnish media sector gave insights into the system there and the current challenges.
Our former colleague Britta Gossel also traveled to the Summer School as a tutor. Seeing her again and many other familiar faces made the Summer School feel like a class reunion at times.
