At the 48th annual conference of the International Society of Political Psychology (ISPP 2025) from July 3 to 6, 2025 in Prague, Czech Republic, a contribution of the Group of Media Psychology and Media Design of the TU Ilmenau was presented. The presentation is part of R. Mohseni's habilitation project on sexist online hate speech and is based on an online quota sample of N = 1,791 adults. The sub-study presented sheds light on which bystander variables are related to reporting, disliking, supporting and ignoring hate comments. There were correlations with compassion, social responsibility, being a role model, sensitivity to injustice, moral courage, perception of offline bullying, age and gender, but some of the correlations differed from what was theoretically expected.
