TheJournal of Media Psychology JMP (Hogrefe) is an international journal that publishes research on media psychology. The journal deals with the question of how people select, use and experience different media. It also looks at how media use influences the cognitions, emotions and behaviors of children, adolescents, and adults. In the interests of high methodological quality, the journal supports open science, preregistrations and replications. Founded in 1989 as the "Zeitschrift für Medienpsychologie" and taken over by Hogrefe-Verlag in 2001, the journal has been published in English as the "Journal of Media Psychology" since 2008. Prof. Nicola Döring from the Media Psychology and Media Design Group at TU Ilmenau was appointed to the Editorial Board in 2024. She will support the journal even more intensively as a reviewer than in previous years.
