Research Group Media Psychology publishes in merz

Analysis of the portrayal of the contraceptive pill on YouTube and TikTok

Contraception is an important sexual health issue that is also negotiated on social media platforms. This explorative study by the Research Group Media Psychology and Media Design shows that pill depictions in high-reach YouTube and TikTok videos come predominantly from health laypeople and are highly critical of pills.
