A Professional Internship is required in the bachelor's degree programs in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics.
The Professional Internship comprises at least 10 weeks (50 internship days) and should be carried out in the lecture-free semester at the end of the study program due to the desired qualified activities. It is evaluated with 10 credits.
The internship is supervised by a university lecturer of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and a company supervisor (person with engineering qualifications).
The university lecturers will assist in the selection of a suitable internship company.
Before signing the internship contract, the students are obliged to coordinate the choice of the internship company as well as the internship activity with the supervising university teacher.
Students are required to register the specialized internship with the Examination Office (forms on the intranet).
The subject-specific requirements, the necessary proofs as well as the suitable companies can be found in the Internship Regulations or in the Examination and Study Regulations - Special Provisions (PStO-BB), appendix Practical Training of the corresponding study program.
The supervising university lecturer is responsible for the professional recognition.
