Transition Bachelor / Master at TUIL

  • In addition to allowing its Bachelor students to change their study program, TUIL offers them the opportunity, under certain conditions, to provisionally enrol in a Master degree program as part of a double study.
  • Admission

    In any case, you need a valid admission letter for the Master degree program you are interested in. 

    Therefore, please apply for this Master degree program after logging in to the Campus Portal with your Uni-Account in the role student in good time.

  • Provisional Master enrolment

    It is possible to transfer from a Bachelor degree program to a Master degree program through provisional enrolment in the Master degree program if you are close in time to completing all the examinations and coursework required in your Bachelor degree program.

    Provisional Master enrolment : Procedure

    As a result of provisional enrolment in another degree program, you are enroled in two degree programs (double studies).

    Enrolment in the Master degree program is limited until the end of the current semester and will be delimited by completing the Bachelor degree programm. If you do not complete your Bachelor degree by the end of the current semester, you will be deroled from the Master degree program at the end of the semester.
  • Change of study program

    It is possible to transfer from a Bachelor degree program to a Master degree program by change of study program if you have already completed your Bachelor degree program and would like to continue studying on a Master degree program immediately afterwards.

    Change of study program : Procedure

    You change from a Bachelor degree program to a Master degree program and are enroled on one degree program as a result of the change of study program.
  • Registration

    Both a change of study program and provisional Master enrolment do not affect your registration at TU Ilmenau or your status as a student, provided that you have properly re-registered for the semester in which the change of study program or provisional Master enrolment is to take place.
