Committee structure

In order to ensure the organization and coordination of the university, countless committees are needed. Some are made up of students only, others of professors and staff, and others are mixed. In the chart below, some of the most important committees have been selected and put in relation to each other to give you a first overview. Further down you will find more details about the individual committees.

The starting point is you as part of the student body or as part of a student council. All students of a faculty are counted as part of a student council. At our university there is one student body and five student councils, because our university consists of five faculties. Consequently, there is only one student council and five departmental councils. At the annual committee elections, you can directly elect the student representatives of some committees and thus indirectly influence countless other committees. Take the chance!
