Extended TI-formula for a more precise measure of disability glare due to road lighting. - In: 28th CIE Session, ISBN 978-3-902842-55-8, (2015), S. 745-750
In this paper, disability glare under non-uniform road lighting conditions is examined. On the basis of experimental data given by Narisada, a method to derive the TI-formula for nonuniform luminance distributions is desired. The method allows the influences of the background luminance, the veiling luminance and the average road luminance to be incorporated. By means of this extended method the TI quality parameter can be more precisely calculated. Keywords: disability glare, TI-formula, non-uniform luminance distribution, background luminance
