Our team of scientists, led by Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Lena Zentner, specializes in researching and teaching in the fields of compliant systems, rigid body systems, and mechanism technology. We focus particularly on interdisciplinary uses of technical systems applied in measurement technology, medical technology, robotics, gripper technology, and valve technology, among others.

Within the fields of mechanics of compliant systems and mechanism technology, our main scientific research concentrates on compliant systems put to use in precision engineering, robotics, productive teaming, and medical technology. Thus, our research is interdisciplinary and suitable for practical industrial applications. We analyze, optimize, and synthesize three types of compliant systems: compliant actuators, compliant sensors, and compliant mechanisms, as well as rigid body systems. Our research is based on highly skilled analytical and computational methods to achieve the best results.
