At the Ilmenau campus, it will be on display in German at the Frauen- und Familienzentrum (Wetzlarer Platz 2) and in English at the University Library (Leibnizbau).
The exhibition focuses on everyday forms of discrimination or degradation based on gender and shows ways in which we can work together to promote a respectful and equal university culture.
Even though universities, as places of science, struggle with this issue, there is just as much or as little sexual harassment and discrimination at universities as in society as a whole. There is a particular vulnerability in the university context, as there are special relationships of dependency both during studies and in the qualification phase. This can be caused, for example, by the identity of supervisory, examination, and superior functions.
