The University Health Management (UGM) of TU Ilmenau supports employees and students in their performance.
We are convinced that health is an important prerequisite for successful work and study. The UGM therefore includes both individual preventive measures and the creation of health-promoting conditions. An ergonomically designed workplace, health courses and psychosocial counselling are just a small excerpt from the UGM programme.
The starting point for the UGM is surveys and health reports. From these, the needs of staff and students are systematically determined, goals derived, and measures for the target groups developed and evaluated, taking into account diversity aspects and equal opportunities. Effectiveness and sustainability are important to us, which is why we implement the UGM program with internal partners and Techniker Krankenkasse.
Our offers for employees, such as health courses, preventive measures or active breaks, are designed to promote healthy working and bring more movement into the often sedentary working day.
Healthy studying through optimal study conditions, health courses and counselling services at TU Ilmenau students can take advantage of a wide range of offers. The offers include physical and mental health as well as a healthy togetherness.
At TU Ilmenau, we have been implementing health promotion measures in cooperation with Techniker Krankenkasse since 2010. Since 2017, Techniker Krankenkasse has also supported the Austauschforum "Von Hochschule für Hochschule" and since 2020 the further development of Student Health Management at TU Ilmenau.
