Lecture series Mathematics in Practice
About the lecture series
The study of mathematics at TU Ilmenau provides students with a solid basic knowledge of mathematics as well as knowledge of mathematical modelling, computer science and a non-mathematical application subject, and trains analytical, problem-solving thinking. But what exactly are the possibilities after graduation? And what does a mathematician have to expect in everyday working life? With this lecture series, TU Ilmenau tries to answer precisely these questions and invites mathematicians once a semester to report on their everyday professional life, for example, in finance, as a management consultant, software developer or in research and development.
