Hi, I am Nashuha binti Omar. Currently, I am pursuing my double degree program in Technology University of Ilmenau (TUIL), Germany. This program is collaboration between my home university, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia and TUIL. It already been years that both these universities had made collaboration. Throughout the whole exchange, I’m fully sponsored by an Erasmus+ scholarship.
My study here involves data analysis on the detection of glaucoma progression using different devices. Longitudinal data were collected from the previous patient’s examination that came to check their eye condition at the university. From the data, different analyses were performed to find out the most accurate imaging devices that can detect the progression of glaucoma. I was given the chance to experience these different imaging devices myself in order to understand more about the procedure and how the machines work. There were four different devices that were used and as far as I know, not all the devices were available back in my country.
Besides, as I joined this exchange students program, I was able to make many good memories such as attending Deutsch class, make friends from different countries, encounter different kind of weathers and cultures, visits places in Germany and Europe, try different kind of food and activities, and many more.
Thus, I am grateful to be given the opportunity to be a part of the program. I hope that this program will continue for more culture, ideas and knowledge to be exchanged.
