Target
As a joint project of the Technischen Universität Ilmenau and the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena , THInKI represents an important building block in the development of Thuringia's AI competences. The aim of the project is to create comprehensive teaching offers and content in the field of artificial intelligence in various departments of the participating universities. During the 4-year project period, existing teaching content will be modernized and new teaching content will be created. The total funding volume of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) amounts to approx. 4 million euros.
In addition to the creation and further development of teaching materials, a certificate programme will give students and graduates from all fields of study the opportunity to gain knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence. The materials will be designed and made available primarily in digital, interactive form.
In addition, The Carpentries courses will be established for the continuing education of teaching staff at both universities.
