Andreas Schwarz gives keynote presentation at an event organized by GACC South and BMWi

On the 4th of November, Andreas Schwarz gave a keynote presentation with the title "Efficient Crisis Management — an outlook" at the event "Transatlantic Program: Virtual Encounter Trip to Germany on the topic of 'Pandemic-Resilient Infrastructure and Efficient Crisis Management'"

In his online lecture, Schwarz provided insight into current research on risk and crisis communication and its relevance to the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change communication. He also addressed the limitations of research in such mega-crises and discussed strategies for risk and crisis communication practice.

The Zoom event was organized by the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern U.S. (GACC South) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). The event centered on panel discussions featuring experts from Texas (U.S.) and Bavaria (Germany) in urban and transportation planning, future mobility, local government, crisis communications, public health, virology, and other related fields.
